SentinelBot combines Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Telegram to send timely alerts and provide interactive status checks for nodes and RDS. With built-in two-factor authentication (TOTP/MFA), security is a priority. This makes your monitoring and incident response much easier.

Getting started with SentinelBot is straightforward. Follow these simple steps to download and set up your application quickly.

🌐 System Requirements

• Operating System: Windows, macOS, or Linux.
• Storage: At least 100 MB of free space.
• RAM: Minimum 2 GB of RAM.
• Internet Access: Required for updates and alerts.

🔍 Installation Steps

Windows

1. Once downloaded, locate the SentinelBot-windows.exe file in your downloads folder.
2. Double-click the file to start the installation.

macOS

   tar -xvzf SentinelBot-linux.tar.gz
   cd SentinelBot
   ./SentinelBot
   

4. Follow the setup guidelines provided in the terminal.

🔧 Configuration

After installation, configure SentinelBot to suit your needs:

1. Open SentinelBot.
2. Enter your Telegram bot token. You can create one by chatting with BotFather on Telegram.
3. Set your alert preferences, specifying which metrics you want to monitor.
4. Define the nodes or RDS instances you wish to query for status.

Sending Alerts

Once configured, SentinelBot will monitor the systems you specified. Alerts will be sent via Telegram when issues arise, ensuring you can respond quickly.

Interactive Queries

You can interactively check the status of your nodes and RDS by messaging the SentinelBot in your Telegram app. Just type your query, and it will respond with the necessary details.

Two-Factor Authentication (MFA)

To enable MFA:

1. Navigate to the settings in the SentinelBot interface.
2. Scan the QR code using an authentication app like Google Authenticator.
3. Enter the code from the app to complete the setup.
